BIONDELLO

I pray the gods she may with all my heart.

T RANIO Exit [Biondello].

Dally not with the gods, but get thee gone.

                              Enter Peter [a Servingman].
Signor Baptista, shall I lead the way?
Welcome. One mess is like to be your cheer. [70]
Come sir, we will better it in Pisa.

     BAPT IST A

I follow you.

                                                           Exeunt.

                          Enter Lucentio and Biondello.

     BIONDELLO

Cambio.

     LUCENT IO

What sayest thou, Biondello?

     BIONDELLO

You saw my master wink and laugh upon [75] you?

     LUCENT IO

Biondello, what of that?

     BIONDELLO

Faith, nothing. But ’has left me here behind to expound the meaning or
moral of his signs and tokens.

     LUCENT IO

I pray thee moralize them. [80]

     BIONDELLO

Then thus: Baptista is safe, talking with the deceiving father of a deceitful
son.
