Ay, for a turtle, as he takes a buzzard.

PET RUCHIO

Come, come, you wasp; i’ faith, you are too angry.

KAT HERINA

If I be waspish, best beware my sting.

PET RUCHIO

My remedy is then to pluck it out. [210]

KAT HERINA

Ay, if the fool could find it where it lies.

PET RUCHIO

Who knows not where a wasp does wear his sting?
 In his tail.

KAT HERINA

                In his tongue.

PET RUCHIO

                Whose tongue?

KAT HERINA

Yours, if you talk of tales, and so farewell.

PET RUCHIO

What, with my tongue in your tail? Nay, come again, [215]
 Good Kate. I am a gentleman -

KAT HERINA

                That I’ll try.

                                                     She strikes him.

PET RUCHIO

I swear I’ll cuff you, if you strike again.
